Hello, I'm Cathy. I'm an Illustrator/Greetings Card Designer/Artist living in the Highlands of Scotland. Yes it's cold. And the weather has a big impact on my curly hair - not in a fashionable way, but luckily I like wearing bobble hats. 

I graduated from U.W.E, Bristol in 2001 with a degree in Graphic Design and for 10 years worked for some really nice Creative Agencies in and around Bristol and Cheltenham. In 2011, with 2 partners in crime, one a Printer, the other a Production Manager, we blindly leapt into the world of Greeting Cards and set up a small design-led publishing business called Love from Lemonade. It wasn't all plain sailing but we learnt a lot and I loved every minute of it. In the 5 years we were running, we sold just over one million cards and were stocked in Paperchase, Scribbler, Selfridges, Oliver Bonas, Fenwick, Joy the Store and over 200 lovely independent gift shops too.

I love playing with new styles, creating new ranges and making a big old mess.
I have lots of characters and ideas running around my head, so the Greetings Card Industry is a perfect fit for someone like me. To be able to work for a Children's Book Publisher is also at the very top of my bucket list. Unlike my mind though, I'm a very tidy designer. I like a good organised filing system and hate messy artwork.

I enjoy running, I'm very lucky enough to live next to a pretty woodland full of red squirrels and other little creatures which is amazing. I'm never too far away from my next coffee and love finding cosy coffee shops in random places.  I'm also a big fan of snow, growing my print collection, cartoons and vinyl toys and rummaging around quirky antique shops.
